Let's assume that you build a physical products website where you review goods. All the posts are seo optimised with buyer keywords such as "product names" "product name" review.

The average commission per product sold is $8.
All the keywords would be ranking number one.

1.How many visitors would you estimate that are necessary in order to make $500 per month?

2.What would be an average conversion rate for physical products?

Well 500/8 = 63 Items sold. Considering the average physical product conversion rate is 1-2% which can be easily upped to 5% but anyway,

PER 100 visitors you sell 2 products, 63/2 = 31.5 x 100 = 3150 visitors/month. If you get a 1% conversion rate thats 6300 visitors.

Anywhere from 100-200 visitors/day. It's all about the math man.

Thanks a lot! I have calculated something similar as well. But I wanted the opinion of others regarding conversion rates mainly.
