Backlinking Strategy

Backlinks are so important. I have created this thread, so that people can share some backlinking strategies.

Also what would you consider good backlinks and what do you consider bad links?

Do you think web 2.0 and article directories backlinks are still effective and are not classified as spam?

Well there is really no such thing as a bad backlink. There is however such a thing as an ineffective backlink, they are not really the same thing.

It is all in how you set them up. In your two examples it really comes down to the quality of your content. While technically doing anything just for the backlink could be considered spamming as long as you are creating good content you will be OK.

Same goes for blogs and forums, different people have different levels of tolerance for those kinds of links but most agree that as long as you are adding something constructive to the site you are not crossing any lines.

Getting a diverse set of links is one of the best ways to go about it. ( Social bookmarking, profile links and high PR blog comments)

Maintaing a steady link velocity is the key to rising in search engines.

Back-link is more important for SEO..
It'll used to improve the keywords PR and getting traffic to our website.

Agree with Steven --> we need diverse backlinks to maintain it. Even when doing blog commenting, try diverse platform (i.e. not just stick to WP). There are just a ton of ways to generate backlink to your site:

1. Article Marketing
2. Web 2.0 Sites
3. Social Bookmarking Sites
4. RSS
5. Social Network
6. Forum Signature
7. Forum Profile
8. .EDU & >GOV Backlinks
9. Document Sharing Sites
10. Power Point Sites
11. Video Sites
12. Press Release
13. Whois & Stats Based Sites
14. Blog Commenting
15. Buying Blog Review
16. Directories Submission
17. Article Syndication Network
18. Software Submission (not a software creator? no problem, you only need pad file)
19. Guest Blogging ...

Some of them are good for direct traffic such as article marketing, blog / forum, video, etc...provided you have quality content. Not just for the sake of building backlinks to your site.

Yes, backlinks are bery important so try to collect it from the niche websites. Don't link with banned websites
