Okay so I got home today and I went to check my adsense account, and I was shocked, another record for me! It's only 5:00 pm and Im at $58 today. When I went to view the full report I saw something weird as hell. One of my first websites ever that was sitting at like #70 made me about $10 today. I rechecked the rankings, found it's still sitting in the same spot. Let's say this domain started with a "g". I remembered I just ranked a new site thats sitting at the #4 spot on the first page that also starts with a "g". My first thought was, I took the adsense code from my site sitting at #70 and used it on my new site thats ranking, so I went and checked the code, but nope it's the correct code for my new site. Even though I don't have analytics installed on my new site yet I know it's getting visits, but google adsense doesn't show 1 unique visitor from the new website. What do you thinks going on here? How can I found out what's happening? |

Dang hard to follow the question. Your ranking can matter little as far as adsense. You can rank #1 and not make a dime. It's all about targeted traffic and targeted ads. Some days are better than others. Your site may finally be getting more targeted ads or better traffic. You also forget that people get to your site via any number of ways, not just at #70 for one particular search term. Most of my sites get traffic from at least 20 different search phrases/terms each. Not to mention the huge internet foot prints left around. Paul |

The site that has now made over $15 today shows only 1 visitor via analytics. So how could it have made $15, it hasn't made a dime in probably a month. Just so happens to start making money when I set up a new site that starts to rank for some keywords, and this site doesn't show any visitors at all when it's received probably 100+ today. I'm trying to ask if it's possible adsense has mixed up and is counting the income from one certain site for the other?

In other words, more targeted ads displayed on your site and as a result more revenue. What you think??

It may be alarming if your this site never made a single penny. Is there any conflict of channels?? Double Check it. Then see statistics of your this site channel. How many impression and clicks occurred. What was the CTR and ECPM, consider all these factor and if it doesn't looks legit then there is something wrong. Restrict your adsense code to be displayed on your approved sites only. You can do this by entering your sites name in Allowed Sites option available in Account Setup. Restrict your ads for only your sites. Thanks Quote:

Not sure I can answer the question in regards to rankings, but I too have noticed another big day in Adsense today for myself as well I seem to have these short bursts in Adsense income that is much higher than average every now and then.

It looks like your site got clicked bombed. I suspect your adsense account will get disabled. Not sure what you can do about this. Maybe complain to google and report it before it gets flagged. |

Unless you have some way to track the traffic, either Google Analytics or Statcounter or something, there is not much to help you determine how you managed to make this amount. My guess is that you are ranking for some term that you had not realized and that is where you are getting the traffic. I know when I would check my recent keywords in Statcounter, I would be surprised at the keywords that people put into Google to find my article. Happens all the time. |
