Confused about crawling...

Three days ago I wrote an article, posted in on my site, pinged the new page and submitted it to several social sites including Digg. The idea was to get credit for original content on my site before publishing the article on EZA and other directories.

I've used this method in the past with good results, sometimes seeing my new article page in Google results within minutes.

This time my Digg submission quickly showed up in Google, as usual, as well as a blog that published my article. But 3 days later the new page on my site is still not indexed. I find this very unusual considering that both Digg and the blog are linking directly to my page.

I also find it odd considering that Google supposedly crawls my site every day. This is not earth-shattering - it will definitely show up sooner or later - but it does confuse me and it makes me question my strategy.
