Well, I don't need to tell you what the CTR is, lol, but this is unheard of. Ranking number two, gets a couple to few hundred visitors per day, there are always clicks - like, there's never been a day with no clicks... ...And today, about a third of the average visitors thus far (normal for a summer weekend), and the clicks? Z. E. R. O. Has anyone experienced a severe reporting lag in Adsense before? I mean, that number seems unfathomable given the site's history. There is always a CTR for it. Ranking is fine. Visitors okay. Ads still show and are relevant. My pub-ID is fine in the code. No warning messages. Maybe just a really delayed reporting going on? Anyone else? |

I have had lags before of 3 to 4 hours where page impressions are recorded but no clicks. It eventually caught up with itself so i wouldn't worry.

I agree with Adsman68 there is a lag between impressions and clicks but not more than few hours at longest. How long have you noticed the problem?

Happens all the time, it'll sit at, for example, $20 and the CTR will go down from 11% to 9% all of a sudden ill check an hour later and its at $26 with 11% CTR again

Hey guys, thanks for your replies. I haven't monitored it all day, but it's been some hours, for sure. Now, I see one click registered. I just can't believe that that's totally normal; this site historically gets a pretty decent CTR, every day, and I don't think a day's gone by since it started generating revenue where there have been so few clicks. I have indeed experienced lags in reporting before, but not like this. |

Just to update: This morning I logged in and saw rather excellent earnings from yesterday (close to my highest daily revenue to date), though on account of some unexpectedly high CPCs on another site. All in all I'm not complaining about the end-result, but the site I had mentioned to you all still had probably the lowest CTR it's ever had. Maybe it was just a summer weekend thing, 'cause I can't find anything "off" about the site, and it was doing just fine, CTR-wise, the day before. Hoping it picks up again soon! Cheers |

Just had to pop in to my own thread and say... This site's CTR is still very low! It's like it dropped overnight; I've tried more ad units, less ad units, interest based ads on and off, changing the layout, changing the color of text...but so far, to no avail. It picked up a bit during one day after the weekend, but now it's seriously underperforming, again. I don't know what else to do; it still gets 100 plus to over 400 visitors/day. It's not a particularly "non-summer" niche; in fact, it's a health niche that one would think people pay particular attention to in the summertime. Any other thoughts? Cheers |
