Step by step Backlinking Strategy anyone?

I utilise many backlinking strategies for my websites mainly depending on the competition and country targeted. I have posted an example today on a thread I created.

Could you share some backlinking strategies as well please, so beginners can have a change in ranking for medium competition keywords?

What I mean by an example is :
1.Day 1 -create 1 post
2.day 2 -create 5 backlinks from web 2.0 sites ,etc

I have been looking for the same thing. I look forward to seeing what people come up with. All I do is set myself a weekly schedule and work from there. That way I know that I am putting a little work into the site on a daily basis.

I mostly use two links building methods to promote my site. I use article marketing and forum posting. When building links I spend some time on reputable forums and make posts that are relevant. I can make a total of 5 - 10 posts in a single day.

I used to use a spin article distribution services that submit my articles to more than 500 article directories, but I stopped using this service after the Google panda update. I am trying to focus much more on submitting only unique content instead of spinning articles.

As you know there various link-building methods someone can use to create back-links, but I would suggest someone to stick with the methods that he/she feels more comfortable at.

I must say that blog commenting is still very effective. The only issue arises when you get on their blogroll just because you commented, get a few hundred links very fast... and then for some reason, the links start dissapearing. I hate those kind of blogs.

At the moment I am focusing on finding high PR blog pages, and then adding my coments. It's a great way to get some nice high PR backlinks to your site, and doesn't take lots of work really once you get going.
