|  What am I doing wrong? Does google just hate me?
hey all, about 2 days ago i created a simple wordpress adsense blog, it had a decent unique 800 word article and my site has good on-page optimization. In under a day my site was indexed by google but i checked the ranking for my keyword(best cell phone provider) and my site is no where to be seen in the top 300 results. Maybe nothing. New sites always bounce around until they finally settle at their rightful place in the index. A thin site may take more effort - seo, paid, etc - to push up the ladder.

Not sure but I think this is a competitive keyword you chose. If this is the case without backlinks you have little chance to get the first page.

yea i recently paid someone to build 250 pr 4-8 backlinks but he didn't do it as he described.. he built the links using my domain not the anchor text i gave him... trying to get a refund, but not sure if im going to be successful... |

You need to build high quality backlinks using your targeted keywords as the anchor text.

thankyou that is fantastic feedback! do you think this is possible to rank for? the competition doesn't seem that hard to be honest... i checked their backlinks and they seem pretty week, alot of pr 0 ones and only a few high ones  |
