Default Advertise and about page PR2?...

My site is PR3 and a few days ago I noticed that some of my pages like advertise and about have pr2!

Is it weird that pages like these that you dont usually seo, get PR or is it normal?...

Maybe its because I have a link to them from my homepage of pr3?...

I am just trying to understand this situation. So any help and explanation would be appreciate it.

I mean, I have lots of pages that are pr1 and 2, but those are post pages and I think those get such pr, because I do lots of internal linking from one post to another.

But, advertise and about pages are not really linked from anywhere but the homepage and sitemap. Even my sitemap has a pr2?...

Thank you in advance.

If the advertise page got inbound link from PR3 homepage, then it got PR2 is not strange. If you don't want that page got PR, then make the inbound link no follow, then see what will happen.

Thanks for the input. No, its not that I dont want the pr for the page, I was just kind of surprised and didn't think one backlink from the home page (although PR 3) would effect a page that doesn't get any backlinks from elsewhere to get a pr2.

I would be happy to hear other warriors thoughts on this. Thanks.
