Hi, For Anchor, must it necessary contain my keyword? I am asking because I feel that if I want someone to click on the link to my website, I have to use some "interesting phrase" However the phrase is not part of my keywords, does it hurt my SEO work? |

Use the most important KW's as your anchor text and yes if you have 100 important kw's you have to create alot of links with alot of different anchor text.

Hi The point is to have the keyword in your anchor text so if you don't it is a total waste of an article, press release etc. |

If we speak about backlinks, they are mostly created to improve rankings, not to make users "click on the link to your website". Consequently, it's better to include keywords into anchors in this case. In case of internal links, it's better to have a healthy mix of keyword-optimized anchors and natural ones, which improve user experience. |

| The anchor text should be your targeted keyword. It will not hurt your ranking if you use a different keyword, but if you want to rank for a specific keyword, then that one should be used as the anchor.

Yes it is vital to have some of your anchor text with your keyword. This is googles main way of determining what a site is about. Mix it up though.

Primary should still be first, but mixing it up a little, esp on internal links, strengthens the rankings on target pages and helps make your content more natural, too. | |

There are two types of links: 1) For SERP purposes 2) For traffic For the first one - your anchor text should include your keyword. For the second - you can put any text. |

Mostly Web master prefer anchor text with keyword but some cases authentic site not allow keyword based linking. I always prefers nick back links because I am sure website owner will not remove my link.
