Somebody tell me how much i Earned??

So to day i logged into my chitika account and found this



So somebody tell me how much have i earned?? cause its says ecpm 23$ thn reduces too 7$ in total and revenue it shows only .60c ... which one of these i have earned.. and please explain what each of these mean..

I'm no chitika expert, but the chart looks typical.

You've earned 60 cents.

The other data is estimated for 1,000 impressions.

You have earned 60 cents on 77 impressions.

This ratio would be spread out to 1000 impressions, or $7.79.
If the ratio held for 1,000 impressions, that is. I have never liked that
data. One big click or little click, and it changes dramatically.
And it's quite meaningless. data junkies may disagree. I'm not
really sure why these programs include it.

On the day you earned 60 cents, you had 26 impressions. Spread
the ratio out to 1,000 and you get the $23.08. That's why the number
is misleading. They're saying IF you continued on that path AND you
got to 1,000, then you MIGHT earn $23.08.

I always look at the bottom line.

Paul's right. I'll add that looking at CPM is useful for comparing advertising platforms across the board. (If you have a large enough sample of data, of course) It gives an apples to apples comparison and should give you a good idea whether you should be running this or that ad platform.

ok...so bacillay i hv only earnt only .60c fr 77 clicks?? thts a bumer.. i bet adsense would hv payed better..

No - you have earned 60 cents with ads from Chitika displaying 77 times on your website.

In other words, if you had one visitor visit one page of your website only one time, and this happened 77 times, you end up with 77 impressions.

ok thnx a lot.. but this is still pretty low rite??.. so fr 1000 impressions i will only earn 6 bucks??..

Try to target US and UK visitors.. They target only those countries..

No, and that's what makes those ecpm stats very misleading.

As I said, it's a useless stat.

It means if you earned 60 cents from those first 77 impressions, and you
keep earning at the same rate, then after 1,000 you would have a little less
than 8 bucks.

But as you can see, your ecpm was different on other days. You are
never going to earn at the same rate at the same time forever.

Chitika is not the same as adsense and it's a difficult comparison.

But if you want to earn more, pump up your visitors, create more
content, etc. Forget about ecpm.

Due to the nature of what chitika is, it has to be harder to earn
the same or more, as with adsense.

FYI: My ecpm has mulitplied over 100 times since waking up this morning.
What can I deduce from that? Not much. I mean you get your
first impression, no click, and your ecpm is next to zero.

Perhaps looking back on a month, you might be able to see a pattern.

But 77 clicks? Not much to go on.

I noe man this is not gonna pay as much as adsense... but what can i do if adsense wont accept me and nobody will help me get accepted.. i can post good content i have many ideas..but chitika is the only option i got.

You need to massively pump up your targeted visitors and write
more great content. You need to trigger the ads.

More content + more visitors = more revenue

yea man..but whts the use of all hard work if its not gonna pay up??.. atleast if i noe i could make 1000$ a month... i would make this my life..

That's actually not bad, your issue is you don't have enough traffic!

$0.60 for 77 visits is a pretty good rate, think of if you're bringing in a few thousand people a day. Just work on getting more traffic.

IF adsense wont accept ... ?? So you didn't try. Atleast TRY. If you have Ideas and you are not going against Adsense TOS then give it a TRY.

You're actually at a great eCPM, your problem seems to be that you don't receive enough traffic in order to get paid. You essentially got paid $.60. The easy way to think of this is that CPM is cost per mille which is cost per thousand impressions. So you fulfilled 77/1000 which is 0.077 and you multiply that by your eCPM which is $7.79. Since a full $7.79 payout is for 1,000 impressions and you only fulfilled 77 of them you would get .59983 which in this case they rounded up making it $.60
