Default Single Product Sites

Hey guys,

Is it still acceptable to create money blogs based on a single product?

For instance, if I wanted to target an Amazon toy, would I have to build a website based on that niche and then create a post about the toy, and then try and rank that page? Or can I build a website based on the single toy product entirely?

I heard that Google deems single product websites as a bridge page now.

Thanks.

Acceptable by whose standards?

This method works great so long as you do not use the trademarked name in your root domain.

Site might not last long using AdWords as they are now advertising Nazi's this past year becoming very selective of the types of sites they allow to be part of their ad platform. Single product reviews do not follow under that category.

Still this type of site is great for SEO and every other form of marketing you can think of so long as you abide by the trademark laws.

Thanks, I was reffering in relation to Google.

I want to build long term amazon money blogs but really cannot afford Google ripping them down each time.

By trade mark I guess you mean for instance don't put the manufacture name in your domain?

I choose to make a single product website. For me it's easier to get #1 rank in Google

yeah thats the way most who use this business model do it to avoide using trademarks in the domain. For example they will buy CameraReviewBlog.com (just made the domain up but probably exists) and then from that root domain they will make specific long tail pages based around specific camera models like CameraReviewBlog.com/Nikon-85766XXY (again just made that url up in my head). From there they work on ranking the inner page for that specific keyword Nikon 85766XXY

My issue with this business model is it is rarely evergreen as the model/product you are optimizing for becomes obsolete and less desired in a matter of months while new products roll out.

I would try and focus on a product that is evergreen instead, but how you run your business is up to you.

I'm sure it is you the products name is in the root domain (iPadReview.com) but sites like this could/will get shut down at any time for trademark infringement easily.

Hell yeah single product blogs still work!

I set one up just a few months ago and it's generating me $300/month! Not bad for a few hours work and backlinking
