I find it easy to find PR 3 websites for back links, but difficult to find PR 6 back links. Because 3 + 3 = 6, does two PR 3 back links equal a PR 6 back link? Are two PR 3 back links worth more than a PR 4 back link (3 + 3 > 4)? |

No. Pagerank is a logarithmic/exponential scale. 1 PR 4 link is worth several PR3 links. 1 PR 6 link is work heaps of PR3 links. |

Nope, as others have mentioned it isn't the same thing. PageRank's value grows exponentially, therefore the value of a PR 6 link is much more valuable than 2 PR3's.

No. It is thought to be a logarithmic scale modified by serveral other factors. But lets test. Send 2 PR 3 to one of my sites. Then send a PR6 to another one of my sites. I will let you now the results. |

Just remember that the mathematical equations above are only hypothetical. There are literally hundreds of factors that come into play with a backlink. That old saying "no backlink is equal" comes into play here. While two PR3 links are NOT worth one PR6 link (mathematically), it all depends on things like the niche, ranking keywords, incoming backlinks, age, topic, etc too. So if you have a fishing site, two PR3 fishing site backlinks would be a ****load better for ranking your "I love fishing" keyword than a PR6 fashion industry backlink. That is my experience anyway. |
