You can also query for the url. If it is indexed, then shows up in the results. Usually the first spot.

If I may add to this, to secure timely indexation of your content in future, make up an XML Sitemap and submit it to Google. Also link your new content to the pages that have already been indexed. These two points will solve the problem.
