If I have three separate keywords:
And they all have low competition and high search counts can I put all of the keywords under one site about "clothing"? I remember hearing that sites aiming for many keywords with the same starting phrase like "the most awesome" are penalized. Is this true? |

I think you're asking if a site can be optimized for several keyword phrases. The answer is yes. One way to accomplish this is to do a separate campaign for each keyword phrase. For example, you could get backlinks containing the anchor text for your first phrase and once it's ranking, do a new backlink campaign but use different anchor text. The same applies for using social bookmarking, directory submissions, etc. I understand what you're saying about the repetitive titling but I'm not sure how much of a problem it is. I know that a couple of years ago, ecommerce sites with big catalogs had a problem because they may have the same product listed several times but the sizes or colors would be different. Google saw all of the repetition as keyword stuffing. I honestly don't know if this is still a problem or not. |
