If you are writing content pages for your niche site, is it worth writing a post on the plural of a keyword, as well as the singular version. If I had a site on lawn mowers as an example, and there were two keywords, best lawn mower, and best lawn mowers, and they both had good searches and competition levels, is it beneficial to write a post on each keyword, or is this a waste of time. I usually don't write a post on each, but I am researching a couple of new niches, and there a several of these words with good traffic, and I could use them to get the amount of posts I need, but I don't want to do it if it isn't a good idea, or if Google ignores them. Thanks Glenn |

Combine both keywords in one post, that's what I always do for keywords that make sense to group together. You can then rank for both by doing anchor text backlinks with both keywords.

actually, since both are highly related, youll most likely rank for both, BUT once you start optimizing for one, you 'might' notice that you disappear or slowly drop in the other singular/plural ranking. Most of the time, 1 of the 2 has more traffic, so focus on that and do secondary linking on the other, or vice versa

Would it matter if a 2 word phrase gets lots of searches and you are able to buy a domain with those 2 words and another word behind it that goes with it? Thanks |
