Both type are beneficial but i only use free backlinks. Never had a experience of using paid backlinks.

I don't think it matters if it is paid for or not, it's where they come from and how high their page rank and if they come from a do follow source that matters. It also matters how they are acquired, you want to build up a steady stream of backlinks from a variety of sources. |

I am a matchmaker in Los Angeles and an executive matchmaker.

The problem with many free backlink sources is they are all spammed to death. (Sorry about that, but I wasn't the only one, was I? )Depending on what you are doing, they both have their place. It's kind of like asking, "which is better, a hammer or a screwdriver?" You'll be a better builder once you realize that they are both effective in their own way. |

Paid backlinks tend to get spammed less often than free ones do, hence the higher degree of quality it can potentially have.
