Hi, I have been doing a lot of keyword research as of late and I have a couple questions before I proceed. 1. Since I am new to this, I have heard different numbers of global searches I should be looking for when trying to find a good keyword. I would just like that to be clarified. Should it be a couple thousand, maybe like 12,000 or in upwards of 40,000 global searches. 2. Should I focus on just a single keyword or phrase, or should I try to target a few different words or keyword phrases? 3. Lastly, is it possible that after my site takes off in a couple months or years or whatever, that I then focus on more competitive keywords, or do I always use the same one or two I started with? Thank you for your help in advance |

If you need your single keyword to rank badly then go with that.Otherwise check the suggestion for long tail keyword and try to rank it before trying this tough keyword.

I suggest you to rather go for long-tail keywords. They get less searches than general keywords, keyword phrases but it's easier to rank your site for long-tail keywords.
