Actually, I don't think competition is bad. If nobody is interested in a keyword, there's probably no money there. There's a difference between competition you can beat and insurmountable competition. For instance, a keyword phrase may have several sites competing to rank for it, but when you look at them, you find all kinds of holes in their game. Their on-page seo may be weak but they have some links. No problem, make your on-page seo perfect, and build as many links as it takes to beat 'em! |

The more searches a keyword gets, the more competition there likely is to be. More searches = more traffic = more potential money. The goal is to find a medium between the two, where you can enter the market and make money. |
