Page 1 for 6-7 keywords to where the hell am I

It took me 4-5 months of constant backlinking to get one of my sites to page 1 for 6-7 highly competitive keywords. The site is about 1 year old. After staying on page 1 for 3-4 weeks, I just checked the rankings again, my site has vanished for all keywords!!

Any thoughts??

vanished is a vague term, where are they exactly, do you know?

what about your other terms, how are they doing? could it be a sitewide slap?

what kinds of links are you building and how is your content?

vanished as in i can find my website for any of the keywords i was trying to rank. i tried doing a manual search and also using ranktracker.

the links were mainly through article directories and there is optimised fresh content added every month.

if you're building the majority of your links from one place then stop that habit and focus on link diversity

it wasnt from one place. its kind of a high PR network. but i will try to diversify the links a bit more.

where do you suggest me to get backlinks from apart from articles?

its ok, you are probably at 200-500. youll probably see a trend going up starting around 10 days from now, albeit a small increase, but it will be consistent. Dont sweat it. Continue what you are doing with backlinks.
