My Favorites 10 Backlink Sources.....

1. Article Directories
Article marketing is how I started my internet business. I spent a lot of my early days writing articles and submitting them to the best directories around. I quickly learned two things from this. Article marketing is a great source of traffic from the directory viewers, and article marketing offers good backlinks towards your site. My favorite directories are EZA, GoArticles, Buzzle, iSnare, and HubPages.

2. Video Directories
YouTube has become a major search engine itself. People use YouTube to find information just as they would search through Google. If you start video marketing, you will quickly learn that this is another great source of both traffic and backlinks. A viral video could cause backlinks to be created for you in thousands of places around the web.

3. PDF Directories
Not many people take advantage of this backlink source, but it is another great one. If you are partaking in article marketing already, there is no reason you can’t submit the content to PDF directories. These platforms include places like Scribd and DocStoc. Once again, this is both a traffic source and a backlink source.

4. Forums
Forums have a great way of generating high Page Rank . Getting backlinks from these sources can do wonders for your search engine rankings. Played around with Yahoo early in but didn't realize any benefits from it relative to time spent. A trickle of tracffic and no back links as theirs are No Follow. I think FB's best days are over too now that Google is in the same business. The last 3 I can see benefits from, even though Blog commenting is the only one on your list that I use.

I tried Yahoo answers but they didn't drive much traffic that worth spending hour on yahoo answers and giving answers to stupid questions. For me I receive most of the traffic from social networks and bookmarking sites, forum, artilces, blog commenting and posting

if you get a good PR of google then you will get massive traffic becasue most of the people use google as search engine ...

Register for the facebook developers forum and you can place a PR9 dofollow link
Also, social will become more and more important in search results, so getting your sites mentioned/liked/shared on facebook will get you traffic and possibly better rankings.

That was what I did starting out to a T. No link juice, too little traffic as the single person likely to click your link is the person who is asking the question. The ones offering answers don't care about your link no matter how good your answer is. Then add in the fact that that there is a constant turn over of answers as the same things get asked over and over again that you get almost zero exposure as the last final kick in the nads.

There are many more efficient ways to build back links that will provide link juice + more traffic for less time/effort.

You can get huge traffic from FB and twitter by dropping your links there.But the question is whether the incoming traffic is targeted or not.Every other guy/gal will click the link and waste your bandwidth.If done on a huge scale with right marketing techniques with right offers you will be rich in no time.

Yahoo answers does work but you have to do it in large scale for your effort to be worth and be vary of not getting banned your accounts.

Because of the above constraints I prefer SEO.If you know how to adapt after getting into top rank in google and yahoo then the possibilities of scaling it into high income are innumerable.

Paid traffic is different story.

If your site has quite a few pages and lots of content then you can focus more on the SEO side and target you site for keywords on a particular topic / theme that you know will lead to users landing on your site.
