Does anyone have an idea of how much Google's new "+1" system will effect the SERPs? It shouldn't be TOO much because obviously bl4ckhatters will abuse the crap out of it with proxies.. |

I personally don't think it was directly effect rankings, however as it gets more widely used it could effect conversion rates to your website considerably. If Jake was looking for a hotel to stay in whilst in New York, he types it in to Google and checks out the results. He notices Ben has +1'd Hotel A website, so he decides to stay there for the night instead of Hotel B. Other than that, I don't see Google allowing +1 to directly effect a keywords ranking. Maybe in the distant future, but certainly not yet. |

There's no way Google can possibly give +1 a lot of weight in the search results. It's just way too easy to exploit. But I agree with Maverick. It'll probably create a small shift in conversions.
