Hey guys, I changed my Adsense Interest-based Ads account settings to: Quote:
![]() Not sure If this setting had anything to do with the higher earnings since it's been only 24 hours since I changed the setting (I hope it is, lol). ![]() This is the only thing I've changed in the last week, havn't touched the sites. Traffic is low because of the holiday (4th July), CTR is hovering around 5%.

Here is an opinion... I believe it allows them to use banner retargeting. That may account for the jump if visitors are seeing the ads of sites they have already visited. I have noticed that about some of the google ads recently; not on my sites, but on sites that I visit. Often I will see re targeting ads in the Google News site. In any case, good on you and keep up the good work. CT |

May be you have change the visitor based ads display on your website. Some time the targeted visitors will love your ads and get higher clicks.

I see it a lot on sites I don't own. I'll search Google for something & land on a site that has Adsense, most times they are running interest based Ads, that show very targeted Ads based on the Search query I did. I'll run it like this for a week or so, see what happens.

Hey man, that is awesome. I think you are on to something. I am going to do the same as I think this makes sense. Your sites are now targeting what the visitor has shown an interest in, in the past. I hope this works better than the targeting to the page as that often didn't match up that often. Where do you find that setting. I can't find it in my AdSense account? |

| So far the CTR is about average for my sites, I just now checked again & the CTR is at +6.5% for the day (about average for most of my sites combined).

| Correct, that is the default setting in the Adsense Admin. I changed that setting a few months back & actually did ok as far as earnings go. I just decided yesterday to switch it back to the default setting & see If anything changes (testing). Again, it's still way to early to say this is what boosted my earnings, it's only been 24 hours. I don't want to jinx it, lol. |

Might be just a coincidence. I never put much faith in turning it off or on, because google targets individual users no matter what. They just don't "gather" info, what ever that means. They put ads in relation to a visitor's location anytime. Another thread people were talking how the weekend was slow. Saturday was a snail's pace, but today is the best day this month, and I mean it rocks. Why? I dunno. Granted, it is only the 4th day of the month, but it is 20% higher today than the best day so far. Paul |
