wp tag benefit/harm seo?

wordpress tag can add more google indexing page, but it comes with a lot of duplicate contents, some guy said that i should stop adding any tags now, what your opinion?

tag it up, I don't see how this could harm SEO... rather benefit it.
Would love to stand corrected with evidence though.

Unless nearly ever other word in the content is used as a tag then I don't see any harm in it.

It can be either harmful or helpful its just how you use it.

Don't go overboard with it and you'll be just fine.

Yep..Wp tags and categories is not problem its help getting much values to website + good number of site impression by visitors..

I just came across the same advise - tags are risky to use on wp for your seo - they can create duplicate content. How? I need more info. Anyone got a resource that talks about this controversial wp tag issue?

One of my wp seo expert friends said that ...

"I read not to use the same keywords as your category and tags. I have heard that before and, since hearing it, have abided. Why? It creates potential for duplicate content."

You mean from the different urls? tag url, category url, post url?

"I'm only guessing on my why not but that was my best guess as to why not."

An another Wordpress seo guy says to use all the keyword ideas as your WP tags.

I hope to hear more in this topic.

I mean, all the good keywords (lots a hits, low compitition)... as post tags. Now I want to know if there is a better answer as far as seo and wp tags as keywords.
