I have been using AMR and SB for the past few weeks. I was under the impression that my backlinks will be picked up by Google sooner or later, but it has been 3 weeks and no luck. I used Traffic Travis and according to it, they have all been found by Yahoo, but not Google. Is there anything I can do? Please advise. Thank you. |

Weird they are found by Yahoo and not Google. Maybe they need a bit longer or you could consider pinging them although it has allready been 3 weeks. I think Traffic Travis might use Google to give the link results which would make them dubious as Google gives such inaccurate results but not sure on this. Sorry to not be more help maybe someone will be along shortly who has more experience of this. |

If your articles are all duplicate content they may not ever get indexed by google. My best advice is to try running your backlinks through an indexing service like backlinksindexer.com, they basically backlink your backlinks and that gets them indexed as quickly and efficiently as possible.

I found that 90% of the AMR articles never get indexed by google, or take ages to at least. I would consider running them through an indexing service. It will be well worth your while.

Try checking whether Google has cached the pages that contain your links.

That's not unusual. Google doesn't like to show its hand. That doesn't mean that they are not aware of your links. You can find tons of sites that show thousands of backlinks in Yahoo and only a handful in Google. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just track your rankings. That is all that matters. |

Google purposely does not tell which links it has indexed they are on record as saying so. The best way to tell if Google has found the articles is to make sure to include a phrase in the articles that does not show any (or very few) exact search matches. Make it 4-6 words long and make sure it is include somewhere in all of the articles. Wait a couple of days and then do an exact search for that phrase and you may be surprised in how many google has indexed. If those pages are indexed then google has found your link. Now how much weight it is giving your links is another matter but that is a different topic. | |

I have been having this issue as well. Google says I have no backlinks, yet articles that I have written pop up and I have landed on page 1 for one of my search terms. I agree with the others, google does not like to show it's cards.

I'm sorry guys but I don't believe there is anyway to truly know these figures. I have websites that I know for a fact have over 30K backlinks and yet only 5K show up in backlink checkers. Seriously, they can be this wildly inaccurate. This free service is pretty awesome for turning links into RSS feeds and then pinging them, plus you can set the amount per day. But please forget about checking backlinks in depth and just worry about rankings. Jimmy |

Hi, you might consider pinging your backlinked URLs so Google will find them. Also consider diversifying your backlinking structure so Google will not think of your website as spam.

Google tends to be a bit slower than Yahoo, and they also love to hide backlinks. So don't fret just yet.

Looks guys, Google will always show a fraction of what they see. So don't jump to conclusions just because you are not seeing links in Google - most probably Google has crawled. Having said that, it is good to make them crawl multiple times - that way they see more importance (they use a fundamental principle called "random walk with restarts" - Google it if you want to know more about the theory behind this) to your page and that will help you get more indexed links inside their database (which you still may not see). What Yahoo shows is inconsistent, most unfortunately. For the same site, you shall see starkly different number of links at different times and they can go up as well as go down by leaps. So don't really trust it. |

Google is the LAST place you should check to see what backlinks you have. Google only show you a TINY, TINY, TINY fraction of your actual backlinks. seomoz.org and seomajestic.com are much better sources to get backlink information from. |

I think you should wait a few more days and keep building links to your site. It will take quite a long time for your backlinks to be indexed by Google.

Attempting to check links in Google is a waste of time. I've been a serious SEO for years and NEVER check links via Google. What they display isn't worth your time as there are better sources to check backlinks with, such as Yahoo Site Explorer and MajesticSEO. Yahoo is even limited in the number of backlinks that they display, showing roughly 60% of the overall links on a site. Don't waste your time with anything less than Yahoo Site Explorer! |
