Default Can I expand to a different topic

I have a site on stock investing and the domain has "stock" keyword on it. Is it a good idea to add articles to a different topic other than stock like writing another article on forex, gold investing but still in finance niche. I don't want to start another new site, since the old one is doing quite good.

Sure you can. While it might be ideal to have an exact match domain, it's also great to build an authority site.

Absolutely. Start a new page, and make sure you have your keywords in that pages url. That way you still get credit for keywords in the url which makes it easier to rank well.

Of course you can add articles related to different topics.
Since all the topics are related to your niche, you can write about them. This will make your website more informative and less monotonous.

Maybe you can post the URL of your website here. Anyway, I believe you can since everything is related to finance. And when you expound "stocks", it means a lot like what dictionary.com says - "a quantity of something accumulated, as for future use". So everything even the information itself is already considered a stock - just for me.
