Hi Mate.
To me, i dont care about onpage optimization. You can search the keyword"click here", adobe website always on the first page of google. Why? there is no keyword density, or url optimization.
Take a look at the webiste; you can not find any keyword "click here" in the page, Why?
Offpage is an answer. there is no relevancy or else. They got good page rank sites linking to them with the keyword"click here", thats the reason why they are #1 position for the word "click here".

In my opinion relevancy is overrated when it comes to SEO. Sure it helps and if you can get it go for it, but I have ranked lots of sites getting links from random articles, profile links etc that have nothing to do with my keywords. Just focus on getting your keyword you in you anchor text. That's what Google wants to see.

Adobe gets the top spot because of all the sites around that have PDF files and a link to get the Adobe reader, which points to the Adobe site. So all the hyperlinks have 'click here' as the key word that is linked.

Keyword density is allowed as long as you follow the rules. If I'm not mistaken, it should be a maximum of 3%. Relevancy I think it's more of connecting your ideas (within the content) within your website and outside (proper niche). I think there's no exact algo used for this, I'm just not sure though.

Nope, you dont have to have under 3 % , i would say under 10 % bescuse i have seen sites with 5%+ keyword density ranking first for very high competion keywords. The 3 % keyword density is more like a a thing to aim for but if you get over 3% its not the whole world besuce you can rank first anyway. For me quality backlinks i way more inportanat than keyword density.

It is better to get links from relevant or same theme sites but if you are getting a linking opportunity from a good quality high PR non relevant site then also it is going to help you in rankings. Keep the keyword density to maximum of 4% but it varies considerably for different sites.
