or it could be he has built 1000s of links to a brand new domain, still only 7 months old today and he's illegally distributing copyrighted material

I could say something like, are you brain dead, but won't.

If you have to ask the question, and are serious about the question,
man you have learned nothing at the WF that's for dang sure.

So, the question is, why would you not think the site would get canned?

I dunno people.

Perhaps the haters will now realize why I have such a bite to my tone
sometimes.

We can have conversations about links, content, etc., no problem. We
can do so without calling names and getting upset, stay friends. But
stuff like this? Come on...

AND... it's so frickin funny that there is a "protected by copyscape do not copy"
tag on it! Holy friggin' cow.

Paul

Google may have just seen something that they didn’t like about your site. Try and make some adjustments to it.

The same reasons given to you there for the ranking drop apply to your de-indexing.

You did receive a warning. You got de-indexed. Google probably thought to be a pretty sufficient warning.

Paul is right. You really don't even have to be that bright to see that.

I think its funny when people think that because other people get away with stuff..it must be fine.

Thats like saying "Bro, I know 4 people who sell weed and two who sell crack...they haven't been arrested why the hell did I?"

ROTFLMAO! This thread is what takes the WF down to a nonsense level.
Arguing over blatantly violating google webmaster guidelines, claiming
that millions do it, why not me?

You are propogating doing illegal activity. It does not make you clean
just because....let's not even mention using copyrighted images to
promote said trademarked and copyrighted material stealing, er....viewing.

You seriously need to read google webmaster guidelines. You provide a
link to watch transformers 3: dark side of the moon online...among
many other first run movies....

...and you seriously cannot figure out why you were de-indexed?

That is the very bottom line to this whole thread...

There are ways to be subtle, to fly under the radar. When you choose
to be in-your-face-blatantly violating, what do you expect?

I'm the guy who enjoys people like the ones you are talking about. Because I build a legit, quality site, then report my really bad competition to google....sometimes you just dont need to much seo, just dethrone your crappy competitors. harsh, but in the end, its about the money, nothing personal =)

I don't think it's the tone people have a problem with.

You appear to be someone who is very knowledgeable in SEO, yet you seem to spend far more time telling other people they are wrong than actually providing reasons why, or heaven forbid, even help or solutions.

Not that there's a problem with that. If that's how you want to post then you're more than entitled to do so.

But personally I prefer to read posts that add value to the forum.

To answer the OP... your site got de-indexed because you are doing something illegal.

See, the thing is, I hate seeing people here on the WF fail. I want to
pump up the WF.

Well shoot, Ben! That's exactly what I said! But just saying that would not bring
the point home, as noted by the responses of said person.

When people who obviously frequent the forum ask the OP's question,
it makes the hairs on my neck stand up! What good is the WF if people
ask a question like that, AND ARE SERIOUS? Okay, a new person, first
day, maybe.

I'm just glad this thread is entertaining for Mike A. et. al.

If it wasn't so sad, it would be funny!

Even on day one you wouldn't ask such a stupid question would you, especially if you're promoting yourself as an "Expert SEO"?

I'm new here and came to WF to get a break from the other forums I frequent because of similar questions showing up time and time again.

Like you Paul, the hair came up on the back of my neck at how someone could ask and even more when I saw people trying to give the OP suggestions on what to do to fix it.

What totally leaves me shaking my head is how some of these people stumble upon a niche / site / get lucky and make money!

Oh come on Paul. If you didn't find it funny too then why use the short hand "ROTFLMAO!" . Getting all angry and feeling sad does exactly what? This poster has already got that. He actually went to Google webmaster forums no less and argued his case and got an earful there too.

Theres only one thing to do with this kind of nonsense. Laugh at it right out of the forum but I get you on one aspect of sad. I've recently seen a really bad deterioration in this section but this? This is just to relax and go to bed with a lowered blood pressure stuff. Pure comedy.
