I was trying to maximize my CTR and CPC by split testing different themes and placing, but when I was doing so my CPC dropped by over 50% which obviously cut my income in half. I'm not too worried, because if nothing changes over the new few days I'll just change back, but is there something else I should know? I'm fairly new so I really don't know all the little details with adsense/seo and I could have screwed something up. Thanks in advance, Jeremy |

Which CTR theme are you running on your site? Last time I checked CTR had 3 themes? |

| WTF?! Your name is Jeremy? Wasn't the other Jeremy the one that helped you make $50/day through Adsense in a month's time? If so it looks like tomorrow I'll be going to court to change my name to Jeremy. Seems to be a lucky one to have in terms of internet marketing. |

CPC is not a consistent factor. It changes all the time as the bids in adwords vary depending on the bidder.Sometimes you get high CPC and in some low.And also how many adblocs you are using also effects the earnings from your site.

Clickbump is one of the best out there in the market. Don't worry. You got a very robust wordpress theme optimized for adsense.

Check it about a week and then you can make a decision on whether to use it or reverse it .

I really don't see how the theme could've effected your CPC, your CTR yes but not the CPC.

If its worth anything, my ctr was horrendous on 7/6 after having fairly decent days over the holiday weekend. I use the Ctr Theme and get about 450 impressions a day. Its probably best to allow a couple days or longer as a testing period.

Themes dont govern CTR I would say its more along the lines of Ad colors and placement Niche of the site..........Content of the site.....................etc |

That is what those themes do. They place the ads in the best possible places on the site to get the best possible CTR. Hence why they are called what they are called: CTR Theme, Clickbump Theme. Clickbump has a bunch of layouts that you can go for, all depending on what you are after. If you don't have the full package, then you can buy the many different themes in members site. They have a bunch designed especially for high CTR. -- Jeff

Sorry but you guys are still remarkably confused if you believe that themes are going to get you improved ctr. I have seen so many posts by people who seem so confused when they switch over and their ctr drops instead of improving or doesn't change much at all. Neither clickbumb or ctr theme or any other paid theme will place ads in any position that you cannot already place ads in any decent free 3 column WP themes. When I started, I tried every CTR increasing theme I could find and never did I ever see an increase in ctr with any of them. What I did find was that my content, my ad placement and my ad colors did have a significant impact and focusing on that has helped me optimize my ctr. CTR depends on too many factors that have a much bigger impact than your theme ever will. Don't get me wrong, some of these themes are great themes for many reasons but magically improving your ctr by knowing some super secret ad placement is not one of them.
