I have observed that driving traffic to a blog is once of the few questions being asked in this forum .

One thing that I have been doing lately is "sharing" my Google Reader RSS feeds. If you set up a Google Reader, and then subscribe to your own RSS feeds, you can then share them via the Reader and get extra link love (and traffic). It only takes a second for each post.

Videos are one of the best ways to get more traffic.

For blog pinging - I use pingoat.com - once you've set up a blog and pinged it once, you can save the URL as a shortcut so it's even easier the next time! I limit myself to pinging my blog twice per week, even though I usually post more often than that, but Pingoat can be used a couple of times per day if you need to.

For the pinging thing I use ping-o-matic, pingler and pingoat.

I also posted this in other forum, if you have e-commerce site you can promote your products on social shopping sites, wishlist sites, and deal sites. Some of them provide dofollow links.

Pinging works well with me, i tend to do it 3 times a week and with a few sites on those days. I use pingoat ping-o-matic and a few others they seem to work well, but i do agree that 3 times a week, especially if your super busy like me is ideal.

Probably the easiest way to get free traffic to your site is to offer an affiliate product....and have your affililates drive traffic to your site! Its free traffic for you, and if you give them a commission on a sale.....you only spend money from the traffic they earned.

This is a common problem - there are too many things to do. Information Overload.

What you need to do is try a few methods yourself. Then check you stats and see which method worked best for you.

Think about how much effort you put in and then compare the amount of traffic.

Obviously trying all of these ideas is just going to overwhelm you.

Yes it's true, by outsourcing with a little money you can get many benefits like, different IPs for the works and more time to concentrate on your blogs/sites.

Yes, it is easy to get traffic to blog or any other website. Don't just read internet marketing books and stop searching for the Holy Grail. Do something and you will get so more traffic than you need. ACTION is the key to traffic.

In blogging, pinging is an XML-RPC-based push mechanism by which a weblog notifies a server that its content has been updated .

Pinging is done after you post a new content so as to notify that you have a new content .

I have recently posted a small giveaway at my blog and found sites that promote and host contests and my traffic increased almost 75% a few days last week. Giving "contestants" assignments such as looking over my website, subscribing, etc has done a lot for my (new) blog and website over the past several days.

In terms of delivering results - eaither leads , traffic or backlink , article markting excells social bookmarking .
