Third Party Ads or Interest Based Ads?

Until last night when a friend mentioned to me that Third party ads may convert better, I went to check my setting and third party ads and interest based ads were both checked off.

Trying to maximize my profits, which has proven to convert better:

1. Third Party Ads
2. Interest Based Ads
3. Both Ticked (What I have currently)

I may be using the old Adsense interface but my options are either interest-based ads (& demographics) or not. Maybe there are other options in the new interface. I turned mine Off beginning today and have seen no improvement so far. I like the concept of targeting the article topics rather than the person's browsing history and demographics. Well see how it goes.

Anyone else? Would love to hear from someone experienced, I thought Yukon or Paul had a fantastic topic on here, hopefully I find that.
