Google penalty effect...

Hi,

Lets say I have a bad seo strategy on one page of my website and google penalizes me and de-indexes that page.

Will this thing have any effects on my other pages?

example.

1 site with 5 pages.
4 valuable pages with some good back links and good seo.
1 page with black hack strategy or something that piss of google.

Results?

From my experience your whole site gets deindexed, I'm not sure if it's because usually 80% of your backlinking is towards the main page or not.

Hi marios521,

I think it really depends on the nature of the violation. If it is serious then your entire website will be delisted, if it is relatively minor you may just see one or more of your pages devalued which can effect the rankings of those as well other linked pages. Most notably, the other pages within your website may be affected if you have internal links in place.
