Quick question. Should I create multiple landing pages which are basically the same but target variations on the same keyword? I have a number of different ad groups on Adwords which each target different keywords so that the keywords and ads themselves can be as relevant to one another as possible. Should I go that extra step in creating multiple landing pages then? I'm talking about for keywords which are slightly different from one another. Like "getting your ex back" to "how to get your ex back". The page itself wouldn't change much, just the keyword I'm targeting and using on the page. That way I'd have a few variations of pretty much the same page on my site (but rewritten slightly in full WITH the new keyword) which I could link to depending on which ad group/keyword I'm targeting. BASICALLY would this help my quality score/is this an accepted smart practice to use in Adwords?? |

I am 90% sure that those keywords mentioned are banned for AdWords...Please inquire yourself though.

I'm not sure whether you'd be allowed to use Google Website Optimizer to split test your page. But in any case, you should make one change at a time, allow for several hundred visitors, track the results, then make another change and rinse and repeat. |

Thanks for the replies so far. The "getting your ex back" was just an example, I'm not actually in that niche. My main question still exists, however: is it worth it to create different landing pages for different keywords if the keywords are only slightly different in order to get a better QS? Or rather, will this result in a better quality score? |
