Default Question about Adsense/Amazon switch

After the Panda update I decided to switch up some of my sites and increase the Amazon presence. Before the update I was making a little more than half as much with Amazon than I did with Adsense, but now my Adsense earnings have gone down - a lot!

As a result, I want to focus more on my Amazon sales than getting Adsense clicks, although the clicks are still okay with me Anyway, I want to put a wide Amazon banner below my header but above the content. But, I have an Adsense block at the top of my content - the content wraps around the block. I have the title and a post excerpt below the Amazon banner that provide a bit of a buffer for the Adsense block.

Is this acceptable? I have read the TOS (which can be confusing) for Adsense and I think it is okay . . . .

Need advice - please
