|  How to check where you are on google for a keyword/phrase
Hi, Just wondering if there is a tool or website where you can check where you are listed on google for a particular keyword ? So if i had a "Furniture shop in New York" and wanted to rank high for that phrase, I can type my site in and that phrase and I will find out that i'm listed 9th in Google or something like that I'm sure there is as I see people saying they moved up with keyword searches etc. Thanks. |

I'm using rank tracker from SEO SpyGlass Backlink Checker Software: X-Ray Your Competition Cool tool. But I'm also wondering if there are any better alternatives? |

I use googles FREE Keyword Tool. Search it up on "google keyword tool" The best way to use this is like this. You want to have HIGH SEARCHES but LOW COMPETITION the way to do that is by using a long tail word or phrase : eg. "new york steaks"------------(short tailed) High Competition "new york city top steaks"----(long tailed) Low Competition to check your competition just use "the quotation marks in your keyword" on googles search engine, if it has lower than 70,000 or less you are good. |

Search Mike's Marketing Tool in Google..You can check your current ranking, although there are gaps sometimes in the results.
