An advertising agency recently contacted me re: having a couple of ads on some of my blogs - ok I am all for that - however the blogs and their links are from poker sites Is there any harm with me running these ads and linking them to my sites? |

I depends on the actual websites and how the links are placed on your website. Here is what Google has to say in their guidelines: Quote:

You probably shouldn't be interested unless you want to put your domain at risk. In the long run, it usually isn't worth the money unless you can no follow all the ads.

Gambling and adult links are definitely risky. Some agencies will not accept gambling or adult links at all. You have to make a decision based on how much are your blogs making right now, how much they are willing to pay, and the risk you are willing to take.

Depends on your traffic resources, if you got most traffic from Google and other search engines, gambling links probably will be harmful.

Be very careful with that. A number of the big online poker sites have been shut down by the government. And as others have said, gambling along with "adult" content is viewed poorly, as representing a "bad neighborhood." |
