Default using brand names in domian names

Hi i was wondering is it legal to use brand names like nike, adidas, panasonic in your domain.
Could company's like these have every right to contact you and tell you to remove your site or you could face legal consequences?

Companies can take legal action if you use their brand name. So it would be a shame to build up a succesful site and have to take it down.

Hi Chini,

Most well known brands vigorously defend their trademarks. It's a virtual certainty that you will face a legal challenge.

I agree 100% from personal experience. Don't use Brand names!

do not use huge brand names like those.

You can use smaller brand names like Revitol however.
