I read this article and left the only comment: Hi Kevin, Nice tips here. I’m a little confused as to why broad match, geo-modified terms are a bad thing. If I’m only targeting specific cities and I am targeting keyword+city, state abbreviation as a keyword I know I will be hitting all variations of the geo-modified search queries (search queries with local intent). I can see why using short tail broad match can get you in trouble, as the intent is missing, but as soon as the geo-target is part of the search query, broad match geo-target keywords will beat a short-tail “phrase” match. Isn’t that right? Am I flawed in my thinking? |
