Default Should I convert my site to CTR Theme?

My Website: goo.gl/kPNXg

I created this website a couple months ago, I had no intention of monetizing it, I just wanted to improve my design/ site building skills. I slapped some adsense ad's on it, and it makes me approximately $2 a month. However, I do have approximately 1000 unique visitors coming to it per month. I worked hard on the design of this and it is something that I am proud of - and switching to a CTR theme would really lose its attractiveness (I think).

that being said, I was wondering if I switched the entire site over to a CTR Theme, if it would make more money?

What do you guys think?

Other Stats:
- 92% are new visitors with 8% returning.

It looks pretty good to me. And yes, it looks like you have put in lot of effort to make it look eye friendly. I am not really sure if you should switch the themes. If you are getting 1000 uniques and still not converting well, then maybe you can think of switching themes.

thanks pluto1, you are right conversions are low but could this be because I don't have my adplacements appropriately placed?

take a look at this: goo.gl/ux9HQ <-- would you make any changes to the ad placement?

thanks

1) That looks like an already existing Joomla theme?

2) Looks like your running Joomla. CTR theme is Wordpress so you'll have to switch CMS platforms.

3) IMO, the Joomla theme isn't optimized for Adsense, example, zero Adsense Ads above the fold.

yup its the comaxium theme, I started with joomla because I figured I didn't want a blog....just a website that I didnt have to update every day. I now have a couple sites that is based on wordpress so it would not be difficult to switch cms platforms.

thanks for your input everyone, I think I am going to stick to the layout and test with different ad placements.

thanks

I would stick with the current theme and just try to get some of the ads above the fold like stated before.

When I went to your site it was hard for me to even notice any ads.

I want to review your IM product or service and promote it on my website PM me for details.
I want to guest blog on your IM related blog PM me for details.

The ads can be displayed above the fold, right in front of where user's eyes focus. Otherwise, it is a good looking site that should convert.

If you are thinking about CTR themes, then my recommendation would be Magnum ctr theme, I have been using for a while now and have some good result. PM me if you need more information regarding then or Simply GOOGLE!

Definitely no need to change your theme. Specially with all the panda updates going on, you're on the right track to developing an authority site.

Also, move your adsense above the fold - make it in-line with your article and wrapped towards the left. I can guarantee you'll see a dramatic increase in CTR
