Lightbulb Does hosting affect SERPs that much?

Can changing your web host makes you rank higher in the SERPs? I had a sudden traffic spike right when I changed to Byet Host's paid hosting (before that i was using their free service) and I notice that I seem to be getting indexed much faster, too!

However, it could just be the Google dance.

Any ideas? Has this happened to you?

I have a site that I have changed the hosts 3 times and it makes no difference at all. Well as far as I can see from my experience good luck though

Hosting does make a difference. If a host experiences a lot of down time, for example, that will have a negative impact on rankings.

Yes, the free hosting did have some down times and it was slower than what I have now. That's what I am thinking.

When a host has down time, and the Google bot cannot crawl your site because it is unreachable, you can experience a drop in rankings as a result.
