Automatic Traffic exchange websites VS. Manual Traffic Exchange websites

I agree, automatic traffic exchange is the worst way of bringing free traffic on your website.

But there are few websites, which are more like social bookmarking websites and website showcase, than traffic exchange. Moreover, traffic exchange is bad, only when it is automatic like in case of traffic spammer, traffic g etc. These websites displays a website for just 30 seconds, and then automatically takes you to a different website.

But the same thing is not present in traffup.net and addsocials. Moreover traffup provides all the information about the websites upfront, resulting in only relevant website visitors.

So, I guess manual traffic exchange websites are more beneficial than automatic traffic exchange websites. What do you guys think?
