Thanks for the read. The suspicions are reasonable since their own share of the revenues climbed substantially more than their partner sites. I'll bookmark this thread to hear how the Google prop machine explains this anomaly. Quote: | |

hmm...I have read the news and it seems that Google income has increased suddenly while our income is dropping...there is no explanation..but I think the reason behind this could be The Panda Update...

Perhaps earnings have dropped simply because traffic dropped? (Google hammered many 'low-quality' content sites, and, in that context, they would receive less traffic...and, therefore, earn less...)

Or, they don't pay for clicks if the site does not meet their quality score. |

Thanks for sharing. It provides interesting perspective as to how the latest Google changes can affect many of us trying to pry out an income on the Internet. Sounds like it has positively affected some sites and really blown others out of the water. What's next???

Thanks for the article. Google can deny and deflect all they like, but until they run a transparent model (where publishers and everyone else know EXACTLY how much they should be receiving), everything Google says is going to look ... let me say "suspicious." (I had a stronger word, and perhaps a more fitting word, but I'll leave it as "suspicious.") |

Obviously this is a result of google not paying the publishers due to shutting many of them down. However, their revenue increased massively. Is google being honest about refunding advertisers money when they shut down a publisher? Anthony |
