I am targeting the #10 spot TODAY. Why does Traffic Travis list this as Medium Difficultly? Looks pretty easy, at least to get on the first page. |

I have noticed this as well... sometimes the software is way off.I have noticed that for some reason, the software really cares about PR, so this might be one of the reasons. I would say that you should go for that long-tail keyword. It does not look hard at all. You might need quite a bit of content to beat wikipedia ...quite a few backlinks as well. on the other hand, the on-page factors are not taken care of ...so it could be quite easy to outrank them. |

Thanks. Maybe it means the #1 position. THAT would be hard to beat, but it looks easy to get in the bottom 5 of page one. At least that's a good start.

| Always try to aim for the top 3 if you want to really monetise that site. I guess it depends on how many searches that term gets as well

I've noticed that too on some terms.... I think it is PR related because that looks like a real easy term to rank well for. |

Hello, I'm having the following query while doing research with Traffic travais: 1. I search for the seo competetion of a keyword say example "pool pump" which has search volume of 800 and traffic travais says its extremely difficult to rank for it. 2. Anyways using a longtail keyword would be better, so inorder to rank for the keyword pool pump, i might take a domain name say"pool pump reviews". 3, Now I put that same word in traffic travais and it says that it is easy to rank for pool pump reviews. 4. But the actual search volume for pool pump reviews is low like say 22 a month but the thing is by using the word pool pump reviews, will I be able to rank for the keyword "pool pump" which traffic travais said was difficult in first place, |
