You may well have eight PR-0 backlinks on sites whose home pages happen to be PR-9. And the same for the others, I think. Unless you've suddenly spent many thousands of dollars today (I hope not?) ... What you're saying is like submitting eight articles to EZA (whose home page is PR-6) and believing you've got eight PR-6 backlinks out of it. It's simply not true, I'm afraid. Regarding the .edu backlinks, this post will explain to you how they really "work". Nobody can predict with confidence. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it may make little difference. As explained to you here yesterday, I strongly advise you to STOP thinking about backlinks primarily in terms of page-ranks and numbers of backlinks. SEO is mostly about quality and relevance.

Backlinks are just one piece of the puzzle. Excellent, unique content is probably much more important. HP |

Unless you invested a fortune to rent those PR links, changes are that most are PR0 (if dofollow) and won`t give you more juice than that.

| People who sell backlinks don't like it when other Warriors say this, but page ranks don't mean much, Kamal. Relevance means a lot. (If you read the post linked to above, about .edu backlinks, it will mean something to you, I think). But specifically, before buying backlinks, if you're concerned about page rank, check the page rank of the page on which your link appears. People typically sell "links from high PR sites", but there's no such thing as a "high-PR site", because websites don't have page rank. Only pages have page rank. The page rank of their home pages is misdescribed by some people selling backlinks as "the PR of the site". That's ok if your backlink is going on that page, but normally it isn't. A backlink from a PR-0 page of a site with a home page with a high PR will only really help you (worth talking about) if the site's relevant to your niche. Another thing to watch for is that there aren't too many backlinks on the page, because the link-juice value of a backlink is in inverse proportion to the number of them that there are on the page on which it appears. So if someone's selling backlinks and putting hundreds of backlinks on the page, they're almost worthless. But - above all: stop thinking in terms of number of backlinks, and numbers of page ranks, and learn to look at it in terms of relevance and quality. |
