The wikipedia editors are very good at picking up links added that have no value. If your content is stellar and you have reputation/authority in the niche, it may just happen naturally.

It's not easy. I have a PR6 site that is considered an authority and I had to argue with the editors for a few days before getting my link approved. Needless to say, it takes work. If I were you I'd try creating a piece of information that is highly valuable to the subject matter. Infographics work good, directory or listing of important data surrounding the subject, a glossary of terms, etc... |

Submit UNIQUE/Non-copyrighted images to the wikimedia commons and add that to the actual wikipedia pages. I went about it the wrong way at first and got a domain marked as spam which was COMPLETE bullsh*t b/c I was actually contributing good, unique, relevant information to a topic... I argued with the editors, sent them an email from me@mydomain to prove that it really was my domain (which they will bitch about sometimes too). Thousands of editors troll all the new edits daily and flag most of them... They're pretty lame. Wikipedia really isn't an open directory. They're like the KKK - they discriminate!! ![]() CHEERS!

I have several links that continue to drive traffic to my site(s) from wikipedia. I never added them myself but they got linked after coverage in a national paper bought my site a bit of notice.

Wikipedia or other reputable websites strictly protect their website from spamming, which makes sense. if you wanna get link from them you have to add value to their websites
