Better backlinking method

Can someone highlight better backlinking method that works and really helps to rank your keywords. I know there are lots of backlinking methods but i would like to know the ones that is more effective than others.

Do blog commenting,social bookmarking and article marketing these are the main back-link method that I use...

Article marketing is very effective in my opinion. I often use Article Marketing Robot with a lot of success and have seen very good results with both this and Build My Rank.

Diversity. It's really the best way to go about backlinking. Gimmicky methods, like the link wheel, might work for a short period of time, but Google is constantly correcting its algorithm to detect these things. Having a nice large and diverse link portfolio is the only way to ensure that your backlinks count for as much as possible.

Also make sure to mix up your anchor text. You can get deindexed or penalized otherwise.

Someone was stating recently that back linking won't work anymore ... is this accurate?

Guest blogging would be a good backlinking method. This can be very successful provided that strict quality control is observed. Guest bloggers are allowed to express their ideas and different point of views and perspectives are encouraged.

If readers will know the QUALITY of your writing, they will be encouraged to visit your site as well.
