How long is it generally until a URL is no longer considered "new" by google...?

I have noticed that after the year mark your site gets a lot more recognition for its SEO. Although you can rank for decent words within a month, I would say after a year I have seen a huge boost from any of my efforts for SEO.

It really depends on the niche. The more profitable the niche the so-called "sandbox" effect tends to last a little longer.

I think if your domain's age below than one year old so it's still new..
