Hey Warriors, I'm deciding whether or not to go ahead and build a one page sales copy or a multi-page website. Would appreciate some feedback if either one ranks differently in the Search Engines. Thanks ![]() Matt |

My experience is that the one page jobs tend to be a bit harder to get indexed. Nothing indexes like a wordpress blog... I'd do a main page with 3-4 posts and you'll have no problems assuming your on-page SEO is done right.

Hi bud good question, I beleive it's better to do multiple pages as its the pages that get ranked not the site it self. So its much easier to get a higher ranking with more content than with 1 page. Cheers, Rob |

Hello; I agree google likes to see that your site has a structure to it with internal as well as external links. You should at least have the following pages in your site. 1. main page (index.html) 2. about us 3. contact up 4. privacy policy 5. site map (a linked list of all of the pages within your site) |

Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. Google looks not only at the sheer volume of votes. So the better will be the chance on multiple pages with quality links of course |

One page sites might rank faster, but Google have made it pretty clear that they are after quality sites that offer value to the end user. So don't be surprised if the 1-5 page site gets outranked by a 20-30 page site pretty quickly.

Since you're talking specifically about sales pages, I'd say a one-page sales page would convert better, but be harder to rank in Google. You'll definitely want a multi-page site, but the main sales page would probably work better as just one page. I'd recommend implementing a blog on the back-end so you'll be better ranked. As always, test it out.

Some useful replies from the fellow warriors, I just want to add that it depends on the targeted audience and the niche of the business, if you are having a business which has world wide audience, i would a good option to have multiple pages according to the region or country.. make sure the issue of duplicate content doesn't exist in multiple pages.

Hi guys, Thankyou for the feedback ![]() I had in mind that a one page sales letter would convert better, perhaps having the navigation to other pages somewhere near the bottom would be less distracting to the potential buyer. Looking at the competitors they have around 5 pages but yet there main site is ranked before there sub pages for the specific keywords.. so i'm still uncertain whether or not its true that sub pages rank before main site. But its gonna take some tweaking and testing.. Thanks a bunch |

Multipage will almost always rank better, usually even for internal pages. Just make sure you have a nice internal link structure.

I have a pre-sell page promoting a clickbank product. This is a single page website. Is it a good idea to install wordpress in a subfolder (www.domain.com/blog/) and add some content just to improve SEO? |

Multi page websites are surely going to perform well in SERP. There are many reasons such as : 1. Google see single page websites as less trustworthy and valuable. 2. More pages means more links to the home page. 3. More pages = more content = Good thing. So its clear that a website with more pages it going to do well in Google than a single page website. |

You can make it look like one page, but attach the links at the bottom if you want. I have seen many beautiful one page sales pages on first page only to find more links at the bottom.

I have both Micro Niche Sites and Authority Sites. After Panda Updates all authority sites give better results than MNS. So add more content frequently |
