Hi There Guys, Thought I create a post and share what I learnt over the past months. I learnt soooo much from the Warrior Forum and this is my way of giving back. I been in IM for about 4 months now. I had quite a few failures early on, and to be honest, I almost gave up on it. I bought quite a few WSOs but didn't seem to make much progress. There was so much to learn and absorb! One of my first real breakthroughs was with Profit Storm which gave me a good solid grounding of offsite and onsite optimization. To cut a long story short, my on site SEO is pretty solid and for those who are interested, I used SEOPressor to make sure its good. Anyway, one of the things I realized is that even with proper onsite SEO, I wasn't ranking for my desired search terms at all. They were mostly on page 3 - 8. I purchased a lot of backlinking services from Fiverr and the Warrior Forum but didn't see much progress. And honestly, I didn't see much improvements despite waiting. I spent the last two months doing a lot of my own research and trial testing. I paid for most of these "experiments" by writing articles to cover my expenses. Although some of it strikes me as being blindingly obvious now, it wasn't then. I hope it helps anyone who's having problem with ranking your site ![]() 1. Backlinking Isn't A Numbers Games Embarrassingly enough, when I first started out, I was really focused on the number of backlinks that services provided. To me. it was all about "outdoing" the number of backlinks that your competitor had. I think I even ordered an Xrummer blast of about 20000 backlinks to my site at one point of time (it disappeared from the top 30 pages after that.) 2. Focus On The High Quality Links I had a lot of confusion understanding what high quality links were at the start. To summarize, they involve backlinks from Web 2.0 sites, Press Releases, High PR Directories etc. In my experience, backlinking services normally charge a much higher premium for this. 3. "Spammy Type Links Have Their Uses There's much debate on spammy type links aka xrummer/scrapebox blasts. From my own testing, I realized that they carry far last weight than before. However, while there isn't much use in pointing them at your money site, I had great effect in pointing them to my Web 2.0 sites and Press Releases. 4. If You're Starting Out, Don't Outsource Everything Till You Nailed Down A System Biggest mistake I made when I started out. I had 3 - 5 sites created and I spent a ton of dough buying backlink packages that didn't produce the results. It might not sound like much but it adds up fast. Furthermore, I got stuck in a vicious circle of buying even more backlink pages that just burned a big hole in my pocket. That's all for now. I hope it helps |

Well said. I'm seeing that the less backlinking I do ( i even skip a couple days a week) the better off I am in the SERPs. Go figure...

The ins and outs of SEO explained again. Definitely good to see this stuff here and there. I like the added touch you put tho about XRumer. Very nice. If something sounds too good to be true, it is... haha Although I have never had any trust in SEO programs for solid ranking.

Amen! Its all about how you use the backlinks that you go after. Diversity is key, as well as good solid links from high pagerank locations! Far too often people completely overlook the fact that PageRank is still great for backlinks. They go after domains with little to no credibility, build extravagant linkwheels that don't pass much value. Sure, those work in moderation but lets be honest here, they only get you so far. |
