Default RSSBot - A few questions to cut my learning curve

Hi All,
I'm new to the WarriorForum and came here because I found a lot of discussions about RSSBot that I have been sifting through. I picked it up last week, and have been trying to figure out a few things that are driving me crazy. I understand the concepts of RSSFeeds and submissions, and have a big list of feeds from my sites, web 2.0 properties, and aggregated feeds that I am trying to gain more link visibility for. I have the software up to date as of yesterday.

Any assistance or guidance from RSSBot veterans would be appreciated.

1. Out of the 47 + or - RSS sites in the list, I'm only seeing about 31 that are coming back as completed. I understand that some may be down or busy, but is this typical?

2. Looking at the submission status for some of the ones that say they completed, it looks like they actually haven't. Some say completed but the screenshots show they weren't available, or there is no confirmation message on the screen showing that the feed was in fact accepted. Do you all do anything special for these, or just roll with it and be happy with the ones that were accepted?

3. The software shows that logins are only required for a few sites. But many of the sites allow you to set up accounts. Is there a better success ratio if you go in and set up accounts on all of the RSS feed sites that accept them and enter that login info into RSSBot's config?

4. I have entered in my account information for FeedAge.com, but none of my feeds show up there. I know it uses captcha at login. I enter all the captcha codes when prompted, but don't think this one gets accepted. This is one of the better RSS sites in my opinion, and I'm wondering if it is best just to do this one by hand? Are there others that are worth removing from the automated process and doing by hand as well?

I went after RSSBot because my goal was to try to save some time. But I want to be able to use this as effectively as possible, and get the most out of it. I spoke to a friend who has some of the same concerns and struggles.

I'd appreciate any advice that would help in being able to see the most benefits out of this application.

Appreciated,
Greg
