I'm trying to figure out how many backlinks my competitors have to their sites. I'm just starting affiliate marketing. I remember hearing about a resource a while back that would tell you how many back links a particular site has. Does anyone know what it is? |

I have found using [link:] in Google shows up the largest number of back-links for me. However there could be better tools/ways. Example [link:]www.yourcompetitorsdomain.com -paul |

It's already been said, but my absolute favorite is Market Samurai. There is a 40 day free trial which is really sweet. |

I would vote for siteexplorer.yahoo.com I can see 1000 backlinks and not just a 'number' of links.

There is a free application called "SEO FIREFOX" Simply install it and you will be able to get a lot of information on any website. I also highly recommend you get the "Google Toolbar" to check website ranks, backlinks and many other interesting things. Alex Kaplo |

For professional level tools, I prefer SEO Spyglass. In my personal comparison to SEO Elite (both of which had good track records), I just like the interface of SEO Spyglass better. It made more intuitive sense to me and was more visually appealing.

Use either Yahoo Site Explorer (previously mentioned) or Majestic SEO. Yahoo Site Explorer: https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.co...&bwmo=d&bwmf=u Majestic SEO: Site Explorer Results - Summary - BETA - Majestic SEO Out of the two I usually tend to go with Majestic SEO as it shows data about number of referring domains, number of .edu/.gov backlinks, number of referring c-class ips etc. Kinda awesome |

I only have one SEO Powersuite, but I barely ever use it. Maybe I should, or try these other ones.
